New Shopping Features from Google: Circle to Search and Virtual Try-On
Google has introduced new features aimed at enhancing online shopping experiences with Circle to Search and Virtual Try-On.
Circle to Search allows users to find similar items and prices by holding down their Android phone’s home button or navigation bar and circling an image of interest. This feature can be particularly useful for identifying vintage items, helping users inquire about styles such as “What are similar styles with a ‘90s vibe?” to refine their searches.
Virtual Try-On serves as a digital dressing room, allowing users to visualize themselves in clothing items. By taking a full-body photo and using Google Lens to find similar styles, users can select the “try it on” button to see how they would look in the garments.
In addition, Lens can assist users in evaluating items they wish to sell from their closets. By uploading a photo of an item and asking “Could I resell this?” or “What kind of stores buy items like this?”, users can gauge the potential value of their belongings and facilitate sales.
