6 Google Gadgets You Should Avoid Buying Right Now: Save Your Money!

As fall rolls in, many of us are turning our attention to holiday shopping. For Android enthusiasts, the Google Store is a key destination. It features all of Google’s latest devices, like the Pixel 10, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a. However, some older gadgets still linger on the shelves that aren’t worth your time or money.

Here are five older Google gadgets to avoid purchasing:

Pixel Tablet

The Pixel Tablet, launched in June 2023, is already feeling outdated. It sports a slow 60Hz refresh rate and an old Tensor G2 chip. Currently priced at $499, it’s simply not worth it. Even without the speaker dock, the tablet’s price is hard to justify, especially since many of its storage models are already out of stock. If you’re looking for a tablet that excels as both a smart display and an Android device, this isn’t it.

Pixel 9

Despite the release of the Pixel 10, the Pixel 9 retains its full price of $799. This is baffling because the Pixel 10 offers better features, including the newer Tensor G5 chip and improved camera options. If you have a choice, stick with the Pixel 10.

Pixel 9 Pro

The Pixel 9 Pro also costs $999, the same as the Pixel 10 Pro. While not a bad device, the Pixel 10 Pro is simply better in several areas, including camera performance. If you’re comparing both at the same price, you should go for the Pixel 10 Pro.

Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4

The Fitbit Sense 2 and Versa 4 aren’t worth considering, even with common discounts. With the newer Pixel Watch 4 offering a much superior experience, you’re better off waiting for a better deal on a modern smartwatch.

Nest Hub Max

Finally, the Nest Hub Max is overpriced at $229, especially given its release date in 2019. There are better smart display options available, such as the regular Nest Hub for $100. Plus, if you’re not tied to Google’s ecosystem, Amazon’s Echo Show lineup is worth exploring too.

In today’s technology race, it’s crucial to make wise choices. Remember, older devices often come with outdated technology that won’t serve you well in the long run. If you’re shopping for gadgets, spend your money on newer, more capable options. For those who want to dive deeper, consider monitoring tech reviews or platforms like Consumer Reports for up-to-date information on the best devices available today.
