Sioux City and Sioux Center, Iowa — Dordt University has been named the 2024-2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) All-Sports Trophy Champion. This marks their second win, with the first occurring in the 2022-23 season. The championship is awarded based on overall performance across all sports in the conference.
To determine the champion, the GPAC calculates standings by dividing the total points earned by the possible points available. Dordt led with an impressive scoring percentage this year.
Darin Keizer, the Athletic Director at Dordt University, shared, “Winning this trophy reflects the hard work of our athletes and coaching staff. Our coaches guide each team to embody the ‘Defender Way,’ which helped us excel against tough competition.” This highlight showcases the dedication present at Dordt University and the competitive spirit within the GPAC.
In this year’s standings, Dordt also excelled in the women’s category, while Concordia University took the lead in the men’s standings.
