PM Modi’s Development Push in Bikaner: A New Era for India

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled an ambitious plan, rolling out development projects worth ₹26,000 crore in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This event drew a large crowd, with attendees joining from 18 states and union territories online.

Shri Modi spoke after seeking blessings from Karni Mata, emphasizing that such spirituality fuels India’s journey toward a developed future. The Prime Minister proudly pointed out the nation’s impressive infrastructure improvements over the past 11 years. “We’re investing six times more in infrastructure projects now than before,” he noted, highlighting landmark projects like the Chenab Bridge and the Sela Tunnel, which are capturing global attention.

Modernizing railways is a key focus. Nearly 70 Vande Bharat trains now operate across the country, connecting remote areas. Recent advancements mean over 34,000 kilometers of new railway tracks have been laid, and many old unmanned crossings have been replaced, making travel safer. The government is also enhancing passenger experience as more than 1,300 railway stations undergo significant upgrades, showcasing local art and culture.

Infrastructure spending creates jobs, boosts business, and benefits farmers by lowering transportation costs. It directly impacts everyday life, bringing new opportunities, especially for young people. For instance, Rajasthan has seen an incredible ₹70,000 crore allocated to its road infrastructure in the last 11 years, and the central government plans to invest nearly ₹10,000 crore in railways there this year alone.

Modi also enumerated health and power projects, linking improved electricity supply to industrial growth. He highlighted initiatives like the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which is benefiting over 40,000 families by eliminating electricity bills and enabling income generation through solar power.

During the address, Modi reflected on Rajasthan’s transformative history, mentioning Maharaja Ganga Singh’s visionary efforts in irrigation. He underscored the importance of water management for agricultural prosperity in the region.

In a more somber tone, the Prime Minister condemned a recent terrorist attack, emphasizing India’s unwavering commitment to national security. “Those who attack us will face severe consequences,” he stated, reiterating that India can deal decisively with threats. He stressed that any attacks would be met with a strong response, reinforcing India’s policy against terrorism.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed that collective security and prosperity are essential for realizing a developed India, highlighting that progress must reach every corner of the nation.

Today’s event not only showcased ambitious plans for development but also exuded a strong message of resilience and commitment to national security. With these initiatives, the government aims to ensure growth that is inclusive and beneficial for all.
