Dahod (Gujarat): During a recent rally in Dahod, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a strong stand against Pakistan, stating that the nation has focused on animosity towards India since its birth. He praised the Indian armed forces for their swift action in Operation Sindoor following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.
While in Gujarat, PM Modi announced several development projects worth ₹24,000 crore. Notable among them was the launch of the Vande Bharat Express, connecting Veraval and Ahmedabad, which is expected to improve regional rail links significantly.
Arriving to a warm welcome from a large crowd, PM Modi reminisced about his tenure as Prime Minister since May 26, 2014. He highlighted how India has broken free from long-standing limitations and has made considerable progress across various sectors.
He emphasized India’s commitment to self-reliance: “Today, all of us are striving to make India a developed nation. We need to create everything required for our growth within our borders.”
The Prime Minister also pointed out recent advancements in manufacturing, including the production of technology for railways, which India is now exporting. He gave specific praise to the new electric locomotive manufacturing facility in Dahod, which was inaugurated during his visit. After the foundation was laid in 2020, skeptics had doubted its success. However, just three years later, the first electric locomotive is complete.
This new facility can produce 120 electric locomotives annually, with plans to increase this capacity as needed. Part of a public-private partnership, it aims to manufacture 1,200 high-powered locomotives over the next decade, supporting India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
On the same day, PM Modi received an enthusiastic reception in Vadodara, where crowds cheered and showed their support. His visit marks his first return to Gujarat since India’s military actions against terror targets in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister’s agenda also includes launching projects worth over ₹53,400 crore in Bhuj, addressing solar energy, power transmission, and drinking water supply for thousands of residents.
In a glance at India’s growth trajectory, statistics show significant progress in infrastructure and technology. According to a report by the Indian Ministry of Commerce, manufacturing output has soared by over 10% in the last year alone, reflecting India’s growing position in the global market.
The excitement around PM Modi’s recent initiatives aligns with a larger sentiment expressed on social media. Many citizens have taken to platforms like Twitter and Facebook to voice their support for these developments, showing a strong nationalistic spirit and hope for the future.
This visit underscores a pivotal time for India, as the country strives to enhance its economic resilience and global competitiveness.
