Gravel riding and local farming are coming together at the Fresh Farm Fondo in West Routt County this summer. Hosted by Hayden Fresh Farm, Ride Workshop, and Mountain Tap Brewery, this event invites cyclists to explore local farms and beautiful landscapes on July 20.
Participants can choose from three routes: 51, 36, or 6 miles, all starting and ending at Hayden Fresh Farm. The idea is to enjoy the ride, appreciate the scenery, and learn about local agriculture rather than compete.
After the ride, Michelle and Colby Townsend, who run Hayden Fresh Farm, will discuss their journey—both the challenges and wins they’ve encountered in farming. Riders will enjoy a meal featuring pizzas made from farm-fresh ingredients, prepared by Mountain Tap Brewery.
Only 75 spots are available to keep the event manageable and minimize road impact. Support will be provided along the route by Ride Workshop, a local bike outfitter. Corey Piscopo, the owner, emphasized the importance of events like this for building community and supporting local economies.
