Record-Breaking Success: CrossWinds’ Stand Up to Stigma Event Boosts Support for Behavioral Health Services

CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness celebrated a fantastic achievement during their Stand Up to Stigma event on May 2nd. They raised an impressive $75,363.60 through ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations, marking a record for the event.

This annual gathering brought together community members, partners, and advocates. It was a night filled with laughter and camaraderie, all in support of CrossWinds’ mission to promote overall wellness in East Central Kansas.

The funds raised will help ensure that crucial behavioral health services remain accessible to families and individuals in Lyon, Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Morris, Osage, and Wabaunsee counties. Jacque Wellnitz, the Development Manager at CrossWinds, expressed her gratitude, saying it was inspiring to see so many people come together to support the cause. She emphasized the importance of community engagement in promoting long-term health.

The event took place at the Emporia Granada Theater, a wonderful venue that hosted generous volunteers and talented performers. The spirit of collaboration was palpable, showcasing how the community prioritizes health and wellness.
