The event is organized by the Village of Pelham Council on the Arts, in partnership with the Village of Pelham and Pelham Art Center. It’s made possible with funding from ArtsWestchester, supported by Westchester County government, including County Executive Kenneth W. Jenkins and the Board of Legislators.

Did you know that Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the U.S.? President Biden declared it a federal holiday in 2021, reflecting growing recognition of its importance. According to a recent survey by The Harris Poll, 58% of Americans believe Juneteenth should be a national holiday. With this growing awareness, events like these play a vital role in fostering community understanding and unity.

Let’s celebrate our shared history and the rich diversity that shapes our communities!
