Heartbreaking Health Update for ‘Duck Dynasty’ Family Following Phil Robertson’s Passing

The Robertson family is facing tough times. After the passing of Phil Robertson, the family patriarch, there’s more sad news. His wife, Kay Robertson, is also struggling with her health. Willie Robertson recently shared with USA Today, “Kay is not in the best of health. We’re trying to help her out as much as we can.”

Phil passed away on May 25 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and blood issues. Willie mentioned that Kay is still grieving, saying, “Some of it is she is just depressed. She lost her partner of 60 years.” This heartbreak has added to her health challenges.

Jase Robertson revealed on the “Unashamed With the Robertson Family” podcast that Kay had a serious fall and an infection earlier this year. Their situation has been difficult, with both Phil and Kay needing extensive care. Jase noted that at a care facility, they were able to support each other despite their health struggles. “My dad’s not doing great overall, and my mom is not doing great physically,” he explained. “But she’s helping his morale, and he’s helping hers.”

Recent statistics from the Alzheimer’s Association show that more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease. Over the years, families have faced similar challenges, and the emotional toll can be overwhelming. The support systems that emerge during these times can make a significant difference, echoing the past when families often came together during tough moments.

Meanwhile, “Duck Dynasty: The Revival,” aired on A&E on June 1, featuring Kay in some early episodes, showing the family’s continued presence in the public eye. Fans are rallying around them on social media, expressing love and support through various platforms.

This situation highlights the real struggles many families face with illness and loss, reminding us of the importance of community and care during challenging times.
