Conduit Ministries’ Food Truck Delivers Free Summer Meals to Kids in Need!

Conduit Ministries runs a food truck in Brooklyn Square every Sunday. It serves meals to anyone in need, especially the hungry and homeless. This summer, the food truck will also help feed children during school break.

Pastor Cameron Lienhart leads this initiative. He aims to provide a warm meal for everyone, regardless of their circumstances. Recently, the food truck prepared meals for 350 people, but more folks arrived. “What we saw on Sunday was a miracle,” Lienhart said. “It felt like a modern-day miracle of fish and loaves.”

Conduit Ministries doesn’t just focus on numbers. Their goal is to love and support the community. Many kids in Jamestown depend on school meals, so they plan to serve hot dinners one night a week at Jackson-Taylor Park throughout July and August.

“Recognition isn’t our aim,” Lienhart said. “We want people to know about Jesus and the love He has for them.” This effort reflects a deeper mission to connect with and help the community.

The food truck is available every Sunday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Brooklyn Square.

Food insecurity is a growing issue. According to the USDA, about 10.5% of U.S. households experienced food insecurity in 2021. Programs like this offer vital support, particularly during summer months when kids miss out on school lunches. Grassroots efforts and community involvement can significantly impact local needs, making a real difference in people’s lives.
