Dr. Mohamed Saif al-Kuwari, an environmental expert, emphasized this achievement, noting that Qatar produces 1,700 MW of solar power during peak hours. The recent inauguration of solar power plants in Mesaieed and Ras Laffan, along with the Al Kharsaah solar power plant, showcases Qatar’s commitment to green energy. Dr. al-Kuwari stressed that these developments are critical for transitioning to renewable energy sources.
