Experience Indiana Grown: Savor Fresh Produce and Fun at the L&K Produce Festival!

Every Saturday, WISH-TV showcases a local company in collaboration with Indiana Grown. This week, we’re highlighting L&K Produce, a family-owned farm in Indiana that has been thriving for five generations. Known for its diverse agricultural offerings and lively festivals, the farm has deep roots in the community.

For 50 years, L&K Produce has been selling their goods right off the highway. Kristi Koger, who shifted from being a kindergarten teacher to a key player in the family business, shared, “We have festivals. Our first one is June 28.”

Throughout the summer and fall, L&K Produce organizes several festivals, including a melon festival in July and a sweet corn festival in August. Each event features live music and around 25 local vendors, making it a fun gathering place for everyone.

The farm doesn’t just offer fresh produce; they also supply meat to local restaurants, supporting nine businesses in Henry County and one in Madison County. This local partnership shines a light on the quality of their farm-raised beef.

L&K Produce has also embraced new trends with freeze-dried fruits and candies that customers love. They offer unique beef tallow and specialty steak condiments, like steak butter in flavors such as orange, vanilla, and frankincense.

As agriculture shifts towards sustainability, L&K Produce represents a model of community engagement and local support. Their success story is a reminder of how family-run farms can adapt and thrive, connecting shoppers with fresh, quality food.
