Exciting News on Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains: The Vande Bharat Sleeper trains are getting a boost! Three major companies will work together to manufacture them. These trains aim to provide comfort for long-distance night journeys, making travel affordable and enjoyable. Unlike the current chair car models, these new sleeper trains will come with berths and improved facilities.
The construction is led by the Indian Railways’ Integral Coach Factory (ICF) alongside private companies, including BEML and Titagarh Rail Systems. They also have design support from the Russian firm TMH (Transmashholding). In total, they plan to produce 210 train sets, and trials are launching soon to modernize India’s train travel.
Recently, during test runs, these sleeper trains hit an impressive speed of 180 km/h. The trials are expected to wrap up by the end of the month, paving the way for this new era of train travel. This marks a significant leap forward for Indian Railways, especially as long-distance travel becomes increasingly popular.
Interestingly, feedback on social media about these trains is largely positive. Many users are excited about the improved experience and faster travel times. One user even shared a video that shows a glass of water staying remarkably still, demonstrating stability as the train reaches peak speeds during trials.
This push towards more advanced rail options could change how millions travel across India. As we await the official launch, it’s clear the Vande Bharat Sleeper trains may redefine comfort and efficiency in India’s railways.
