Indiana University Southeast Offers Community Grant Writing Workshop

Indiana University Southeast is hosting a Community Grant Writing Workshop from June 26-27, 2025. This workshop is perfect for staff from nonprofits, local governments, schools, churches, and similar organizations. The early registration fee is $199, and spots are limited to the first 25 people. Be sure to sign up by June 20, 2025.

This workshop focuses on both beginners and those looking to enhance their grant writing skills. You’ll leave with crucial tools to create and submit effective grant proposals.

What You’ll Learn:

• Assess your readiness for applying for grants.
• Choose which grants to pursue based on your organization’s needs.
• Understand the requirements set by funders.
• Develop strategies to write compelling proposals.
• Learn how to share your organization’s story.
• Draft essential sections like the case for support, needs statement, goals, objectives, timelines, budget, and evaluation plans.
• Explore logic models and effective methodologies.
• Discuss sustainability and long-term impact.
• Discover useful resources for finding grants.

The workshop will be led by Becky Crump, a Contracts & Grants Specialist at IU Southeast. With years of experience in the nonprofit, education, and government sectors, she has successfully secured millions in funding. Becky has also been a national trainer for grant writing and federal grant management.
