Upon arrival, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković warmly welcomed Modi at the airport. Plenković emphasized the timing of Modi’s visit, noting it comes during a significant geopolitical moment. He mentioned the two nations are ready to start a new chapter in their relationship, paving the way for deeper ties in several sectors.

As Modi arrived at his hotel, he was met by members of the Indian community. They greeted him enthusiastically, chanting slogans like “Vande Mataram.” There was even a traditional dance performance, showcasing India’s rich culture. This visit follows Modi’s participation in the G7 summit in Canada and a stop in Cyprus.

Modi is set to meet with Plenković and President Zoran Milanović during his stay. Before leaving India, he spoke about the long-standing cultural connections between the two nations, highlighting the potential for new avenues of collaboration.
