Tehran, Iran – CNN — Diplomatic relations with Iran could restart quickly, according to Majid Farahani, an official in the Iranian presidency. He stated that the U.S. can help by urging Israel to stop its strikes on Iran. “Iran wants peaceful conversations, whether direct or indirect,” he said.

Farahani emphasized that President Trump could halt the conflict with a simple phone call to Israeli leaders. He reiterated that talks are futile while bombings continue.

Although Iran refuses to stop its nuclear enrichment, which it claims is for peaceful purposes, it’s open to negotiating concessions. “We might lower our enrichment, but we won’t stop,” Farahani noted.
