Introducing Will Boyington: Leading the New NASA AA Office of Communications

I’m thrilled to announce that Will Boyington has been appointed as the new associate administrator for NASA’s Office of Communications. In this role, he’ll lead both internal and external communications for the agency. Will will also be a senior advisor, helping shape NASA’s messaging on everything from aeronautics to human spaceflight, with a special focus on our Moon to Mars exploration efforts.

Will brings over 15 years of strategic communications experience. Most recently, he was the director of external communications at Blue Origin, where he oversaw public relations and policy communication. Before that, he directed communications for the National Space Council at the White House, guiding the messaging around presidential space policies and coordinating efforts with various federal agencies.

Will has a degree in history and French from Hillsdale College.

I would also like to thank Wes Brown and Michelle Jones for their excellent work in acting roles during the transition period. Wes will go back to being the deputy associate administrator for management, and Michelle will continue her important contributions as deputy associate administrator for communications.
