JACKSON, Wyo. — This June 27, the Teton County Health Department (TCHD) is offering free HIV testing to mark National HIV Testing Day. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 460 East Pearl Ave.

The TCHD’s Sexual and Reproductive Health team wants to encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity. “This day highlights how important HIV testing and early diagnosis are,” they said. “If you’re sexually active, getting tested for STIs can help you stay healthy and protect your partner.”

The testing at the event is quick and easy. It uses an oral swab, so no blood draw is needed, and you’ll get your results in just 20 minutes. This method makes testing more comfortable and accessible for everyone.

The Wyoming Department of Health recommends that all sexually active people get tested regularly. Whether you have one partner or multiple, making STI testing part of your annual health routine can be crucial for your well-being.
