Unlocking Excitement: High Point University Women’s Soccer Reveals Thrilling 2025 Schedule!

High Point, N.C. – The High Point University women’s soccer team, led by Head Coach Aaron McGuiness, has unveiled its 2025 schedule. McGuiness shared his enthusiasm: “We are excited for this season. Our non-conference matches will prepare us for a tough conference schedule.”

The Panthers will host eight teams at Vert Stadium, including one NCAA Tournament team from last season. They’ll also face eight opponents on the road.

The action kicks off on August 4 with an exhibition game against Queens University. They’ll travel to Appalachian State for another exhibition on August 9 before the regular season begins.

On August 14, HPU will take on Virginia Tech, a team that reached the NCAA quarterfinals last year. This marks a chance for HPU to chase their first victory against this ACC opponent at home.

Their first road game is scheduled for August 17 against Western Carolina. The team will return to High Point to play College of Charleston on August 24.

In a busy end to August, they will face Campbell University on August 28, then take on Elon University at home on the month’s last day.

September starts with a trip to face UNC Greensboro on the 4th. Later, UNC Wilmington will visit the Panthers on September 7, followed by one last non-conference game at the University of West Georgia on September 14.

Big South play kicks off with a rematch against reigning champions, USC Upstate, on September 24. HPU will then host Longwood University on October 1.

The Panthers will travel to Charleston Southern on October 4 and face Presbyterian College at home on October 11. They’ll have a rematch with Radford on October 15, which holds special significance after HPU beat them in the Big South semifinals last year with a sensational Olimpico goal.

The regular season closes at home against UNC Asheville on October 18 and Gardner-Webb on October 25, wrapping up with a visit to Winthrop University on October 29.

The 2025 Big South Tournament will take place at the Mecklenburg Sportsplex in Matthews, North Carolina, featuring semifinals on November 6 and the championship on November 9.

McGuiness is keen to see how the team develops throughout the season. “Setting the right tone in our non-conference games is crucial for our confidence,” he says, highlighting the importance of these early challenges.

With a mix of familiar rivals and new opponents, fans can expect an exciting season ahead for the Panthers.
