From July 5 to 13, Manezhnaya Square in Moscow will transform into a hub of Indian culture with the Bharat Utsav – Festival of India. This exciting event invites both residents and visitors to dive into the rich traditions of India.
The festival is organized by the Moscow Government and the Embassy of India. The venue will be beautifully landscaped with exotic plants, featuring chalets filled with Indian cuisine and handmade crafts.
Expect hundreds of engaging activities throughout the week, including lively performances, dance master classes, and Hindi lessons. Every morning and evening, you can catch shows from talented Russian and Indian performers.
International artists will lead creative workshops where you can try playing the tabla, dance Kathak and Kuchipudi, and learn some basic conversational Hindi. An exhibition showcasing beautiful artwork from various regions of India will also be on display.

Moscow has strong ties with India, covering trade, creative industries, and tourism. Recently, India has become a significant source of tourists for Moscow. In the first quarter of 2025, around 18,000 Indian visitors explored the city, a 50% increase compared to the same time last year.
