VEGAS (July 1, 2025) – The Vegas Golden Knights have made a big move by acquiring forward Mitch Marner from the Toronto Maple Leafs. In exchange, forward Nicolas Roy will head to Toronto. Marner has also secured an eight-year contract worth an average of $12 million per year, keeping him with the Golden Knights until the end of the 2032-33 season. He’ll wear jersey No. 93.
Marner, 28, has had quite a career in the NHL, playing all nine seasons with the Maple Leafs. He has tallied 741 points with 221 goals and 520 assists over 657 games, earning a +128 rating on the ice. This impressive score places him fifth in franchise history for Toronto.
