Dr. Phil started this network after his long-running CBS show concluded in May 2023, aiming to create a continuous viewer experience.

Merit Street’s troubles allegedly began almost immediately after its establishment in January 2023. They had partnered with TBN, which produces faith-based content, expecting significant support in production and distribution at no cost. However, the lawsuit claims TBN failed to honor these agreements and manipulated the situation to favor their interests.
