Tadeusz Rozmus, a local priest, noted that papal summer vacations often blend leisure with responsibility. “Past popes have written encyclicals and welcomed dignitaries here. The serene environment helps them refocus.”

Local leaders, including Castel Gandolfo’s mayor, are hopeful that Leo’s return will boost the town’s economy. “His presence in our square brings joy and prosperity,” the mayor shared on social media.

As the town prepares for Leo, shops have yet to fill their shelves with souvenirs featuring his likeness. “People want his image on everything, but things aren’t official yet,” Carosi explained.

Each pope brings a different style, and Leo’s charm is still being discovered. He is known to be athletic and enjoys nature. The picturesque views of Lake Albano are sure to inspire him. “He’ll find joy in this beautiful town and its people,” Carosi said.
