2025 Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: New Tier List Revealed – Find Out Who Ranks at the Top!

It’s hard to believe that Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo has been around for over 30 years. Yet, this classic game continues to thrive in the competitive scene. Tournaments still showcase players who eagerly battle it out for glory.

One standout player, Riz0ne, dominated at NorCal Regionals in 2018 and 2019 and even placed fourth at East Coast Throwdown in 2019. Recently, he teamed up with Makiri to craft a new tier list for the game in 2025.

Interestingly, Akuma, who first appeared in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, isn’t included in this tier list due to a tournament ban. If he were allowed, he would likely dominate the rankings.

Currently, Vega sits alone at the top in the S tier. Capcom has been careful not to let Vega’s powerful abilities make their way into newer Street Fighter titles. As a result, he tends to be less strong in games like Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter 5.

In the A+ tier, we find notable characters like Dhalsim, Chun-Li, Sagat, and Balrog. It’s worth mentioning that Sagat appears twice on this list: the “Old Sagat” in A+ with high damage but without a Super Art, and the “New Sagat” in the D tier.

The characters struggling the most seem to be Blanka, Cammy, and T. Hawk. Cammy is especially surprising, as she is now better known as a top-tier fighter, a far cry from her initial low-tier status in the series.

As competitive gaming continues to grow, it’s fascinating to see how older titles like Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo still maintain a strong fan base. This speaks to the game’s rich history and its deep impact on gaming culture.
