Last-Minute Leak Spoils Excitement at Samsung’s Highly Anticipated Event

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event is almost here, and new leaks are buzzing about the upcoming devices. Roland Quandt, a well-known leaker, recently shared marketing materials that hint the Galaxy Z Fold 7 won’t support the S Pen.

This follows earlier leaks that revealed specs for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE. The Z Fold 7 is designed to be sleek, measuring just 4.2mm when unfolded and weighing 215 grams—lighter than a large chocolate bar! In comparison, the Z Flip 7 measures 6.5mm, roughly the width of a pencil.

Interestingly, Quandt pointed out that the marketing materials don’t mention an S Pen for the Z Fold 7. In previous versions, users could buy the S Pen Fold Edition separately, storing it in a special case. This time, it seems the Z Fold 7 may not support the S Pen at all.

Quandt also revealed specs and images for the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup. The Watch Ultra boasts upgraded storage—64GB compared to the previous model’s 32GB. It retains popular features like a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, up to 100 hours of battery life in power-saving mode, a safety siren, and dual-frequency GPS.

The Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic will sport a round display and a sleek design similar to the Watch Ultra. Reports suggest the Watch 8 may offer increased brightness at 3,000 nits and a profile that’s 11% thinner than the last generation.

For the Watch 8 Classic, users can expect 64GB of storage and a larger 445mAh battery, a notable jump from the 16GB storage and 425mAh battery of the Watch 6 Classic. This new version seems to only come in one size—1.3 inches—with a silver rotating bezel and a choice of black or white watch faces.

Recent discussions on social media show that many tech enthusiasts are eager for these launches. Some users have expressed disappointment over the potential loss of the S Pen for the Z Fold series while others are excited about the sleek design improvements in the new watches.
