Florida State University has exciting news for the upcoming 2025-2026 season of Opening Nights. This series features a variety of performances and events that aim to inspire and connect audiences.
The theme for this season is “Opening Minds,” promising shows that encourage both reflection and connection. Every event will take place in different venues across Tallahassee.
Ticket sales kick off on August 7th, starting at 11:00 a.m., with early access for members. The season opens on September 5th with actor Jeff Goldblum performing jazz with the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra at the Ruby Diamond Concert Hall.
Later in September, on the 28th, best-selling authors James Patterson and Patrick Leddin will present “Disrupt Everything and Win.” This event focuses on personal growth and new opportunities, and attendees will receive a signed copy of their book.
October brings more excitement with Morgan Freeman narrating “Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience,” a musical journey through the birthplace of the blues, on October 3rd. January offers a unique celebration when the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra presents “Meet Me at the Fair!”, highlighting the joy of world fairs.
In February, fans of Taylor Swift can catch Charity Eden’s tribute in “The Unofficial Eras Tour” at The Moon. The lineup also includes performances by New Jazz Underground, OKCello, and Bassel & the Supernaturals.
As the season wraps up in April, expect a performance by A Band Called Honalee, inspired by Peter, Paul & Mary. There’s even a free lecture on April 16th by Noah Verrier, a featured artist from the Chain of Parks.
