The authorities from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) intervened in the situation and took them to a rescue center in Tumakuru. “We were happy and healthy,” Nina explained, emphasizing that they never felt unsafe or neglected.

Nina described their daily life: swimming in waterfalls, enjoying art lessons, and preparing meals. “We made clay sculptures, painted, and I cooked delicious food with gas,” she shared. Though Nina’s visa had expired, she disputed claims about overstaying since 2017. “It’s not true. They found my old passport and assumed it was current.
