Unveiling Uriel: The Exciting New Devil-Themed Warframe from Digital Extremes!

Digital Extremes has introduced a new character for Warframe called Uriel. This devil-themed character is the final addition to a full roster of Warframes, which now covers every letter of the alphabet. Uriel will debut alongside a new storyline in the upcoming year-end update, The Old Peace.

Uriel was revealed at TennoCon, the yearly fan event for Warframe. He stands out with his dark, striking design, featuring flame-like highlights and a long, pointy tail. His appearance teases intense gameplay and intriguing lore.

Along with Uriel, two new Protoframes were announced: Harrow and Wisp. Protoframes are human-like versions of existing Warframes, first introduced in the game’s 1999 update. Harrow’s Protoframe is called Father Lyon Allard, while Wisp’s is Marie Leroux. Both characters have captivating backstories tied to their unique designs.

Harrow is a priest-like figure who first frightened players in an early-game quest. He carries an incense burner and has a unique ability involving self-flagellation to boost his fire rate. Meanwhile, Wisp has a more ethereal presence. Inspired by folklore, she embodies will-o’-wisps that lure people to danger.

The trio of characters is collectively called “the Devil’s Triad.” Creative director Rebecca Ford hinted that their storyline relates to Albrecht Entrati and some unexplored Orokin lore. This adds layers to the characters, fueling interest in their narrative.

Uriel holds special significance for the Warframe team. He was the last character worked on by the late developer Mike Brennan before his passing. Ford expressed the emotional weight tied to this character, highlighting how meaningful Uriel’s introduction is for the team and the community.

As anticipation builds, more details about the Devil’s Triad are expected to be shared in the upcoming October devstream. The reveal has sparked discussions on social media, with fans sharing their excitement and predictions about gameplay and lore. The community engagement suggests that Uriel and his companions will soon become fan favorites.
