India’s Bold Vision: Building a Space Station by 2035 and Moon Landing by 2040!

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has some exciting plans in the works. Chairman V. Narayanan recently shared that India aims to have its own space station by 2035. Additionally, the country plans to land an astronaut on the Moon by 2040.

During a ceremony at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Narayanan highlighted the impressive strides India has made in space exploration. He noted how the country’s rockets have evolved from small models that could only lift 35 kg to towering structures capable of carrying 74,000 kg.

One of the key achievements mentioned was the Aditya mission. This project has placed India among just four nations capable of launching satellites to study the Sun. The data collected from this mission is providing invaluable insights to scientists around the globe.

In another exciting development, ISRO successfully conducted a docking experiment this year. This places India among a select few countries with the ability to perform such advanced space maneuvers. The organization is now preparing for a Venus orbiter mission and is launching multiple rockets and satellites, with several start-ups actively participating in these efforts.

Narayanan emphasized that ISRO’s achievements align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat,” or developed India.
