Mark your calendar for August 9, 2025! The Southern Whiskey Society is coming to The Factory in Franklin, and it promises to be a great evening.
The Southern Whiskey Society is all about bringing people together over great whiskey, food, and cigars. It’s a chance to connect and forge lasting friendships.
This event is known as the best food and whiskey experience in the South. This year, it features an impressive lineup: 10 chefs from Middle Tennessee and 40 distillers offering some of their best whiskey, along with craft vodka, gin, and tequila.
Tiny Irwin, the Proprietor of The Southern Whiskey Society, shared some exciting news. They introduced “The Pairing Room” last year, where local chefs and distillers teamed up to create unique whiskey and food pairings. It was a huge hit and is back this year with a new Protein Sponsor: Bullbourn Bison.
Last year’s feedback also led to a new Early Entry Cigar Lounge. This allows guests to arrive an hour early before the official doors open. They can check in and get a head start on the event.
The Tasting Room this year will feature over 30 distillers, plus a surprise group of spirits. Poppa P’s will be providing the cigar experience, including a premium cigar for those who arrive early.
VIP ticket holders get some awesome perks. They’ll have early access, exclusive distiller pours, a special gift bag, and a chance to meet representatives from Bardstown Bourbon Company.
The Southern Whiskey Society also works with OneGenAway to fight food insecurity. They’ll hold a silent auction, with all proceeds going to support this important cause.
Make sure to grab your tickets soon to experience this unique whiskey and food event in the South.

Interestingly, whiskey consumption trends have changed over the years. In 2022, a survey found that over 50% of participants preferred whiskey over other spirits, highlighting its growing popularity among younger adults. This trend is reflected in events like the Southern Whiskey Society, where connection through shared culinary experiences is at the forefront.
