Swift Justice: How the Indian Army Taught Pakistan a Lesson in Under 22 Minutes, According to CM Yogi – The Statesman

Recalling the Pulwama attack, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke of the 22 innocent lives lost to terrorism backed by Pakistan. He praised the Indian Army for its swift response—destroying terrorist camps in under 22 minutes. This display of strength highlighted India’s commitment to security.

Adityanath made these remarks during the Kargil Vijay Diwas event at the Kargil Shaheed Smriti Vatika. He emphasized that, as Prime Minister Modi stated, those responsible for the Pulwama attack would face consequences. He pointed out that even when Pakistan sought help from the U.S., they could not match the might of the Indian Army.

He called for unity to build a stronger nation, aiming to make “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” a reality. The CM underscored the significance of this day, honoring the sacrifices made by soldiers during the Kargil War, which was fought under harsh conditions. Temperatures in Kargil can drop to minus 50 degrees, yet Indian forces stood firm and ultimately triumphed.

Adityanath mentioned the government’s pledge to support the families of fallen soldiers with financial assistance and job opportunities. During the event, he and the Mayor honored the families of several martyrs, including Captain Manoj Pandey and Major Ritesh Sharma.

A recent survey found that 78% of Indians believe in honoring soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the nation. This growing sentiment reflects a national pride that has been bolstered by events such as Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The Kargil War itself serves as a significant chapter in Indian military history. It not only showcased the bravery of the armed forces but also united the country in purpose. Today’s discussions often compare past conflicts with contemporary challenges, highlighting the importance of national resilience.

Yogi Adityanath’s remarks resonate with many, reflecting a strong national spirit. Understanding these events and their impact can inform how we approach current geopolitical issues.
