Exciting News: Lindenwood University Unveils New Varsity Club for Thriving Athletics Alumni!

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Lindenwood University Athletics is thrilled to introduce the Lindenwood Varsity Club. This initiative offers a lively way for all alumni and former athletes to reconnect with the LU Athletics family.

Lindenwood has a proud history, with many Lions achieving success in various sports, including Student Life Sports, NAIA, Division II, and Division I. The Varsity Club aims to bring together everyone who has played a role in Lindenwood athletics.

“I’m thrilled to see the Lindenwood Varsity Club finally come to life. It’s well deserved,” said Jason Coomer, Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics. “We owe a great debt to our former student-athletes. Their achievements built the foundation for our success today. To those actively involved, thank you for staying part of our community. And for those who haven’t been as engaged, we’re excited to welcome you back.”

The Varsity Club’s mission is to unite all former athletes, coaches, and staff in a lively community. We cherish the moments we’ve shared and look forward to creating new memories. Seeing past alumni at games and events brings us joy, and we warmly invite everyone back to the St. Charles area.

“The Varsity Club will help bring athletes back to campus, strengthen our community ties, and celebrate the spirit of being a Lion for life,” added Tess Lovig, Director of Athletic Advancement. “Whether you participated in Student Life Sports, NAIA, NCAA Division II, or Division I, this space belongs to you. We can’t wait to welcome you home.”

Joining is free and simple. Members will receive updates about athletics, invitations to games, and a chance to reconnect with old friends and teammates. Recent studies show that alumni engagement can enhance school spirit and faculty collaboration, so it’s beneficial for everyone involved.
