Last week, Nintendo made a big announcement during its Partner showcase: Apex Legends is now available for the Switch 2. This is exciting news for gamers who love battle royale games.
Respawn Entertainment shared how the game performs on the new console. Players can enjoy smooth gameplay at up to 60 FPS, depending on their monitor and hardware. The resolution is 1920×1080 when docked and 1792×1008 when playing on the go.
Once you log into the game, you’ll be taken to the eShop to download the new version of Apex Legends for Switch 2. You can delete the old version afterward.
As a bonus, if you log into your Apex Legends account on either the original Switch or Switch 2 before September 16, 2025, you’ll score the exclusive “P.A.T.H.” Pathfinder Skin.
For those curious, the game is free to download on the Switch 2, but you’ll need about 31.7 GB of space to install it. You can find more details about the update in the EA patch notes.
In recent months, gaming on handheld devices has surged. With the rise of cloud gaming, players can enjoy high-quality titles on the go. This shift makes games like Apex Legends even more appealing.
Gamers everywhere seem excited. Social media is buzzing with reactions, mostly positive, about the launch. Many players are eager to dive into the action on their new console.
This upgrade marks a significant step for Nintendo as it continues to innovate and enhance the gaming experience. Are you eager to try Apex Legends on the Switch 2?
