CLEVELAND, Ohio — Ella Langley, a rising star in country music, is stepping back from her tour with Morgan Wallen to focus on her health. She shared her decision on social media, explaining that she’s been feeling unwell lately and needs to prioritize her well-being.
Langley won’t perform at the upcoming shows in Cleveland, and Gavin Adcock will take her place. Her move highlights a growing trend in the music industry: artists prioritizing mental and physical health. According to a 2022 survey by the Musicians’ Health Initiative, nearly 60% of musicians report dealing with health issues due to the pressures of touring and performing.
In her heartfelt message, the 26-year-old artist wrote about the challenges she’s faced in recent weeks. She emphasized the importance of listening to one’s body and taking a step back when needed. “Sometimes we have to slow down,” she said, expressing gratitude for her supporters’ understanding.
This break means Langley will miss several shows, including performances in Nashville, Montana, Idaho, and Colorado. Fans are eagerly awaiting her return, which she promises will be in September.
Earlier this year, Langley garnered significant attention with eight nominations at the Academy of Country Music Awards, ultimately winning four. Her latest album, “Hungover,” has been a success, featuring popular tracks such as her duet with Riley Green.
As artists like Langley advocate for better mental health practices, it improves the conversation around well-being in the music world. Through sharing her experience, Langley encourages others to take care of themselves too.
