If you’re a fan of Corsair and Razer, getting used to their proprietary software is par for the course. iCUE offers an easy-to-use interface for customizing things like widget size and color.
Still, I expected more from the widgets. In promotional images for the Xeneon Edge, Corsair teased new weather and calendar widgets. When I asked about them, a company rep mentioned they would be ready by Q1 2026. If you’re considering buying this monitor, waiting might be wise. You could save some money or gain more features later.

Using the URL widget can be a mixed bag. While it’s easy to keep a favorite site open, it sometimes cuts off important parts of pages. I faced issues when trying to log back into my RSS reader after leaving the widget. It’s worth noting that iCUE states some websites don’t allow their content to load in this format.
According to Corsair, the URL widget runs on a customized version of Chromium. However, it lacks the full features of a regular browser, like bookmarks or the ability to enter new URLs. This limitation means you can’t use your monitor in the traditional way, like dragging or viewing multiple windows. Currently, the only chat widget available is for Twitch, which feels limiting.
In a recent survey conducted by Statista, 65% of tech users indicated they prefer products with customizable features. This suggests that many users share the desire for more functionality in gadgets like the Xeneon Edge. As technology evolves, companies must adapt to user expectations for greater versatility and enhanced user experience.
While Corsair’s widgets are a step in the right direction, there’s plenty of room for improvement. As users voice their needs on platforms like Twitter and Reddit, it’s clear that more diverse and functional widgets are highly anticipated. The tech landscape thrives on innovation, and user feedback plays a crucial role in shaping future updates.
