Exciting New Eateries Coming to San Clemente’s Miramar Food Hall: Discover What’s Cooking!

Exciting news for food lovers! The Miramar Food Hall is set to open this fall in San Clemente, bringing together a mix of 17 food and drink vendors. It’s located inside the historic Miramar Theatre, a 1938 building that has a rich history as a movie theater and bowling alley.

The lineup already includes 13 vendors, mostly hailing from Southern California. Notable names are Cosmos Burger from San Diego County, Ricebunn, and Immersion Coffee Co. The food hall aims to showcase local flavors and community spirit.

Jim Krieger, the Chief Operating Officer of Tiger Hospitality, emphasized the importance of local participation. He noted that the challenge was to respect the building’s history while adding modern touches.

Here’s a glimpse of some vendors:

  • Cosmos Burger: Famous for its Spicy Jam Burger and Monkey Fries, it has locations in Oceanside and Carlsbad.
  • El Puerto Street Tacos: Offers authentic Mexican street tacos and burritos from its two establishments in Carlsbad.
  • Hen Haus: A new venture by Thyda Sieng, known for her previous restaurant, Fire Bird Nashville Hot Chicken, which closed in 2021.
  • Moto Pizza: This Seattle-based pizzeria specializes in Detroit-style pizza and marks its first out-of-state location here.

Also part of the mix are Lobster Lab, serving up mouthwatering lobster rolls, and Graciously Thai, offering home-style Thai cuisine.

In recent trends, food halls are becoming increasingly popular. A 2022 survey by the National Restaurant Association found that nearly 75% of respondents under 40 express a strong interest in dining at food halls. This shift reflects a demand for diverse food options and a social dining experience.

Food halls like Miramar are a response to these trends. They provide a vibrant community space where local businesses thrive. As the popularity of these halls grows, they are prompting more people to explore local culinary scenes.

As the grand opening approaches, excitement is building. The Miramar Food Hall promises to be a lively addition to San Clemente, uniting local cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. With its mix of established favorites and new concepts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
