Byung-hun, who commented on the film’s commercial viability, noted that it’s one of Park’s most engaging scripts. “It’s intriguing and fun,” he remarked, highlighting why the film could capture the audience’s interest.
As the 2025 Venice Film Festival showcased “No Other Choice,” the anticipation grows around whether it could finally lead to an Oscar nomination for Park. With five films submitted, South Korea’s selection for Best International Feature remains unclear, but “No Other Choice” is seen as a strong contender.
