The next drawing on Monday will now boast a jackpot of $1.1 billion.
According to lottery officials, nine tickets matched five of the six numbers but missed the Powerball. Of those, four were sold in California, with two in Southern California. One ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in Duarte, and the other at Ontario Liquor, located in Ontario.
This upcoming Monday’s drawing is set to be the fifth-largest in Powerball history. The largest ticket sold was worth an astonishing $2.04 billion, which Edwin Castro claimed in November 2022. He bought his ticket at Joe’s Service Center in Altadena.
Interestingly, the last jackpot-winning ticket was sold back in May, worth $207 million. It also came from a 7-Eleven, located in Arleta.
