Discover Cleveland’s Best: A 5-Minute Chat on Oktoberfest, Corkscrew Taphouse & Lola’s Bistro!

CLEVELAND, Ohio – This week, Cleveland is buzzing with excitement as the annual microbrew competition took center stage at Oktoberfest. Let’s catch up on some tasty highlights, including the new Corkscrew Taphouse and the upcoming Lola’s Bistro.

Cleveland Oktoberfest is still going strong. With music, food, and plenty of beer, there’s lots to enjoy. The local breweries showcased their skills during the competition, and people eagerly awaited the results. This event is a great chance to try different flavors and discover local favorites.

Speaking of new spots, Corkscrew Taphouse just opened its doors in Geneva’s Grand River Valley. This high-tech bar lets customers pour their own drinks. After scanning their ID and credit card, patrons receive a wristband that grants access to 31 self-pour taps featuring an exciting variety of wines. It’s an innovative way to enjoy a glass (or two) while mingling with friends.

Over in Chagrin Falls, Lola’s Bistro is preparing for its grand opening on September 8. This Parisian-inspired eatery takes over the space that was once Rick’s Café. It’s not related to Lola Bistro by the famous chef Michael Symon. Instead, it is run by Rick Doody’s Next Cool Restaurants Ventures. Chef Michael Herschman, known for his work at Lopez and Mojo in Cleveland Heights, joins the team to offer a delightful menu.

In a recent survey by the National Restaurant Association, more than 80% of diners expressed excitement about trying new restaurants this year. This trend shows a growing appetite for diverse dining options, making it a perfect time for new establishments like Lola’s Bistro and Corkscrew Taphouse.

If you’re exploring Cleveland’s food and drink scene, now is a great time. From breweries to bistros, there’s something for everyone.

Bon appétit!
