Fans of reMarkable have something to celebrate: the launch of the new reMarkable Paper Pro Move. This compact, 7.3-inch E-Ink tablet is designed for easy one-handed use and can fit snugly in your pocket or bag.
The Paper Pro Move is available for $449, which includes the standard Marker but no case. If you prefer the Marker Pro, with a built-in eraser and a grip-friendly texture, it will cost an extra $50. You can also choose from folio cases priced between $69 and $139, or go without one.
Like its larger sibling, the Paper Pro, the Move features a vibrant Canvas Color E-Ink display. It can display around 20,000 shades, which enhances note-taking and highlighting. Battery life is impressive, boasting up to two weeks on a single charge. The device has a 12 ms writing latency, 64GB of storage, and connectivity options like USB-C, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It comes with 2GB of RAM and, while it’s a bit thicker at 0.26 inches (compared to 0.2 inches for the Paper Pro), it weighs less than half of the original model, making it more portable.
In recent years, the popularity of E-Ink devices has surged. A survey from Mordor Intelligence reported that the E-Ink market is projected to grow at a rate of 9.3% annually. This rising interest reflects a broader trend where people seek digital tools that mimic traditional writing experiences.
User reactions to the Paper Pro Move on social media have been mostly positive. Many users appreciate the lightweight design and colorful note-taking features. However, some have expressed concerns about transitioning from larger tablets to a more compact version.
As tech continues to evolve, devices like the reMarkable Paper Pro Move demonstrate how innovation can make our lives easier. With its user-friendly design and extensive features, it’s clear that this new tablet is aimed at professionals and students alike.
