MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Jacksonville University men’s golf team wrapped up the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate, finishing tied for 11th place. They ended the three-day tournament with a total score of 14-over-par 878 (296-288-294), sharing the spot with Maryland. Florida Atlantic took home the team title with an impressive score of 26-under-par 838.

Brandon Lohr was the standout player for Jacksonville. He finished tied for eighth individually, scoring 5-under-par 211 (68-71-72). His first round of 68 was a highlight, marking one of the lowest scores of the tournament.

Among other contributors, Daniel Montalvo tied for 56th with a score of 6-over-par 222 (73-73-76). His consistency showed with two rounds of 73. Andrew Morgan and Will Harris both tied for 66th, finishing at 9-over-par 225. Morgan improved significantly in his second round, while Harris maintained steady scores over the final two days. Andrew Sevene rounded out the team with a score of 18-over-par 234 (81-79-74).

The team is staying focused as they prepare for the JT Poston Invitational hosted by Western Carolina on September 14-16. The competition promises to be intense, and the Dolphins are eager to showcase their skills once again.
