Before a big college football game, fans of the Panthers and Mountaineers gathered at Oglebay Park for a lively food truck festival. This year marked the fifth event, and it brought together 18 food trucks with a wide variety of tasty options.
Andy Brown, the event director, explained the importance of having a lively atmosphere. “We learned early on that a big screen makes a big difference. It sets the stage for a great tailgate party,” he said.
Visitors savored dishes like mac and cheese bites and pizza while enjoying live music. This festival not only delighted taste buds but also provided a boost to local businesses. Lou Forlini, who runs Forlini’s Kitchen, noted, “We’re getting a lot of new customers and positive feedback. It’s been great for us.”
Beyond just food, the festival created a warm community vibe. Attendee MJ Jaffe shared, “The happy faces, the food—it feels like a cozy celebration amidst our busy lives.”
The festival ran until 9:30 p.m., offering a perfect mix of food, fun, and football for everyone there. It’s a reminder of how community events can strengthen local ties and celebrate shared passions.
