On September 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate new train services for Bihar’s Saharsa district. This event aims to enhance rail connectivity in the region, which has long been seeking better transportation options.

The Amrit Bharat Express will run directly from Saharsa to Amritsar, offering long-distance travel to North India. Additionally, under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a new building for Saharsa Junction is in progress, with a budget of ₹44 crore. Completion is expected within a few days, promising modern amenities for passengers once finished.

This initiative is in line with India’s goal of strengthening its railway network. According to a recent survey by the Ministry of Railways, improving rail infrastructure could cut travel time by up to 30%, underscoring the importance of these new services.
