World Harvest Charities has teamed up with the Crowell Family YMCA to support families affected by recent fires. This partnership aims to provide fresh and nutritious food to those in need, starting in mid-September.
The food distributions will include a variety of items: fresh produce, bread, rice, beans, dairy, and proteins. These essentials will help families focus on recovery while ensuring they have access to healthy meals.
The Crowell YMCA has a solid history of assisting the community, regularly serving over 450 households. On average, 15 to 20 families visit each day during its operating hours—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Their established support makes them a natural ally for World Harvest.
A bilingual team will oversee the food distributions and work closely with YMCA staff to meet community needs. Glen Curado, the Founder and Executive Director of World Harvest, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “We are honored to support families facing tough times after the fires. Angelenos look out for one another, and we can truly make a difference together.”
With both organizations focused on rebuilding and recovery, this partnership highlights the strength in community support. By providing essential food supplies, they are helping families navigate a difficult period.
