Meta recently unveiled the Meta Ray-Ban Display, launching on September 30 for $799.99. These smart glasses are packed with features, including an in-lens display that can be controlled through a wrist-based device called the Meta Neural Band. This means you can check texts, view Instagram Reels, and navigate maps without reaching for your phone.
The glasses come in two sizes and two colors: black and sand. They also have transition lenses, which adjust in sunlight, making them practical for everyday use. The display, positioned in the right lens, offers a resolution of 600 by 600 pixels and can showcase apps in vibrant color.

In addition to the Ray-Ban Display, Meta also introduced the second generation of their smart glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2. Priced starting at $379, these glasses promise up to eight hours of battery life, double that of the previous model. They feature a camera that can shoot 3K video.
New offerings are not limited to Meta. Oakley is releasing the Meta Vanguard on October 21 for $499. This sporty option includes a 12-megapixel camera and claims up to nine hours of battery life. It’s designed with outdoor enthusiasts in mind, featuring a wraparound style and water resistance.
As smart eyewear grows more popular, stats show significant interest. According to a recent survey by Statista, 62% of respondents expressed a desire for wearable tech that seamlessly integrates with their daily lives.
