Marcos Charles, acting head of ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations, described the 400 arrests as a “solid number.” He noted that this figure includes both ICE and other federal agencies working together. “We’ll keep this operation going until we achieve our goals,” he said, implying there’s no set end date.

This operation, named “Midway Blitz,” has sparked unease among activists and local communities. Many express fear over the increased presence of immigration agents, recalling past aggressive tactics that led to widespread arrests. These actions coincide with the Trump administration’s promise of tougher immigration measures.
