Next up is Georgia, thanks to their strong win at Tennessee. Winning on the road in the SEC, especially against top-tier teams, is a major achievement.
Florida State follows close behind for their victory over Alabama, while Ohio State and Oklahoma round out the top five. The Sooners have impressed with wins against Michigan and Auburn. However, there are plenty of teams that could easily fit into this elite group.
In September, rankings involve a lot of guesswork because schedules are often unbalanced. Fans and analysts are still trying to gauge team strength and potential.
