Exciting News: Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Coming to Switch 2 This February 2026!

Sega is keeping the momentum going with its popular Yakuza series. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently announced that Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will launch on the Switch 2 and other platforms on February 12, 2026. You can already pre-order the digital version, with physical copies available soon.

Originally released on PlayStation 3 in 2009, Yakuza 3 is getting a fresh makeover. This updated version features stunning graphics and new technology, bringing Okinawa to life like never before. Players can expect intense battles, extra cutscenes for a richer story, and various minigames for endless fun. Kiryu returns to defend his loved ones, facing new challenges.

This edition also includes Dark Ties, focusing on Yoshitaka Mine, Kiryu’s rival. Mine’s story takes him from a venture company founder to a yakuza member after losing everything. His quest to find meaningful connections intertwines with Kiryu’s, showcasing two very different paths.

Many fans are eager to try this latest addition to the Yakuza franchise. According to recent reports, community excitement is significant, particularly since Yakuza Kiwami was released on the eShop last October. Many players are already enjoying Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, which is also available on the Switch 2. Moreover, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will join the lineup this November, with separate physical releases confirmed for both.
