Duke Rowing’s Exciting 2025-26 Fall Schedule
Duke’s rowing head coach, Adrian Spracklen, has revealed an exciting lineup for the fall season of 2025-26. The Blue Devils will compete in three major regattas this October and November.
The action kicks off on October 5 in High Point, North Carolina, at the High Point Rowing Festival. There, Duke will compete for the 2025 Dr. Lenny Peters Cup against teams like Edinburgh University Boat Club and the University of Oxford.
Next, the Blue Devils head to Cambridge, Massachusetts, for the prestigious 60th Head of the Charles Regatta from October 17 to 19. They’ll race in three categories: Women’s Championship 4+, Women’s Championship 8+, and Women’s Alumnae 8+. Last year, Duke’s Club 4+ crew made waves by winning first place among 52 teams, setting a new course record of 17:46.122—over 15 seconds ahead of their closest rival.
The fall season wraps up with a scrimmage against North Carolina on November 1. Fans can look forward to the spring schedule, which will be announced later.
Spracklen is entering his second year with the Blue Devils. He previously coached at Mercyhurst University for 32 years and has already made a mark at Duke, leading the team to a strong showing at various events last year. The Duke Varsity Four and Second Varsity Four earned ACC Crew of the Week awards for their outstanding performances.
