In recent years, research funding and collaboration have become crucial for academic institutions. According to a 2022 report by the National Science Foundation, nearly 35% of U.S. academic research is funded by federal agencies. This highlights the importance of initiatives like Research Month at UNMC, as they provide essential support for researchers looking to secure funding and build impactful networks.

As the research landscape evolves, connecting with industry and government partners will be vital. A recent survey conducted by the American Association of Universities showed that effective communication and partnership-building significantly boost research output and visibility. The events at Research Month aim to facilitate these connections, fostering a collaborative environment for all researchers at UNMC.
